The tyranny of Labour

It is 101 years since Lord Acton wrote of Popes and Kings that "power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely".

Never was that sentiment more true than now when a Member of Parliament is arrested, his property is seized, and his homes searched, all because he was succeeding in doing his job: that is to hold government to account.

Labour does not accept criticism. It believes, like ancient popes, that it is infalliable and right. Notwithstanding its economic incompetence and profligacy, its cronyism, and its failure to address the breakdown of healthy society, this government has now created conditions in which our freedom has been trampled almost to death.

The preeminence of parliament has been paramount in Britain for longer than any other Nation on earth. But under Labour it has been treated with contempt with the full authority of the Prime Minister and his weak, petty, and utterly useless ministers.

A once decent man has been, inevitably, corrupted by the power of government. Shame facedly they should go. And go now.
